MindReminder does not collect any personal information from users. This includes:

Device information or unique identifiers (except for app functionality)

Any information transmitted to external servers or third parties
All data in MindReminder is stored locally on your device using secure local storage mechanisms (SharedPreferences).
Tasks: Your task titles, descriptions, due dates, energy levels, and recurrence settings are stored locally.
Task Status: Information about completed, active, and backlogged tasks is kept on your device.
Body Care Settings: Your water reminder, stretch reminder, and breathing exercise preferences are stored locally.
Notification Preferences: Your notification settings and scheduled reminders are stored on your device.
Data Security: Your data is protected by your device's built-in security features and encryption.
Your data never leaves your device and cannot be accessed by us or third parties.
MindReminder may request the following permissions to provide core functionality:
Notifications: Required to send task reminders and body care notifications. Notification data is stored locally and never transmitted externally.
Schedule Exact Alarms (Android 12+): Required for reliable task reminders that fire at exact times. This permission is managed by the Android system and does not transmit any data.
Activity Detection (Optional): Used to detect inactivity for stretch reminders. Activity data is processed locally and never stored or transmitted.
Battery Optimization Exemption (Android): Requested to ensure notifications work reliably. This is a system setting and does not involve data collection.
You can deny optional permissions and still use most of the app's features. However, denying notification permissions will disable reminder functionality.
MindReminder uses local notifications to remind you of tasks and body care activities:
Task Reminders: Scheduled based on your task due dates and energy levels. Notification content includes only task titles and descriptions you've entered.
Body Care Reminders: Water, stretch, and breathing reminders based on your settings. These are scheduled locally and do not involve external services.
No Cloud Sync: Notifications are scheduled and managed entirely on your device. No notification data is sent to external servers.
You have complete control over your data:
View Your Data: Access all your tasks, settings, and preferences within the app at any time.
Edit Your Data: Modify, complete, or delete tasks at any time. Changes are saved locally on your device.
Delete Your Data: Remove individual tasks, clear all data, or delete the entire app to permanently remove all data from your device.
No Backup: Since data is local only, we recommend backing up important information manually if needed. The app does not provide cloud backup functionality.
MindReminder does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or data collection services. The app functions entirely offline and independently.
Optional AI Features: If you choose to use AI-generated encouragement in Focus Mode, this feature may use external AI services (such as Google Gemini API) to generate content. In such cases, only the task information you're viewing is sent to generate encouragement text. This data is not stored by the AI service and is used solely for generating the encouragement message. You can disable AI features if you prefer not to use this functionality.
App store distribution (Google Play Store, Apple App Store) may collect their own analytics data according to their respective privacy policies, but this is independent of MindReminder.
MindReminder does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. Since the app does not collect any personal information, this is not a concern. However, if you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the app and on this website. Since MindReminder doesn't collect personal information, privacy policy updates will be rare and primarily related to clarifying our practices or adding new features.
